This will be the first time when Huma Qureshi will be sharing screen space with South megastar Rajinikanth. If that wasn’t enough, the actress will be seen in an unconventional and strong role in the superstar’s film Kaala. But besides these known facts, let us tell you that her character will also undergo many changes as it will span not one but three decades!

Recent reports have it that Kaala will see Huma Qureshi playing a 20 year old to a 50 year old and will see her character mature over time. The recent poster of the film introduced us to the actress’ role in the film – Zareena. The actress has shot for the film’s schedule for over 45 days.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, Kaala is set amidst the slums of Dharavi. Rajinikanth’s role is expected to be a grey-shaded one. The details of the role played by Huma Qureshi in the film is still said to be kept under wraps. The actress, in earlier reports, had expressed her happiness over acting with a superstar like Rajinikanth. She had described him as an inspiring and amazing human being. She had also stated that the entire shoot was a learning experience for her.

This is the second South superstar Huma Qureshi is collaborating with. She had earlier featured opposite Malayalam star Mammootty in a film titled White that released in 2016.

On the Bollywood front, Huma is yet to reveal about her work commitments. The actress recently was in Cannes owing to her association with a liquor brand. During the film festival at the French Riviera, the actress also spoke about sexual harassment and stressed on the need of helping out women who are victims of such crimes.

As for Kaala, directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film is slated to release on June 7.

Aditi Rao Hydari thinks these are the most IMPORTANT factors to bring about gender equality

Aditi Rao Hydari, who was last seen in Daas Dev, has come out in the open to speak about gender equality. Many actresses have expressed their displeasure over the gender discrimination, sexual harassment, pay disparity and many other issues that exist in the entertainment industry. When Aditi was asked about her opinion, she uninhibitedly decided to speak on it.

According to reports, Aditi Rao Hydari believes that education is of utmost importance to spread the message of gender equality. She also clearly demarcated about how literacy and education are different from each other. Rather, she stressed on the need for a wholesome education to bring about a gender balance. Aditi Rao Hydari was also seen in the much acclaimed Padmaavat in which she played the role of Mehrunissa, the first wife of Alauddin Khilji, essayed by Ranveer Singh. The actress also shared screen space with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the film.

Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rathore sequel to go on floors soon?

Akshay Kumar‘s Rowdy Rathore opened up a new market for him altogether and even his detractors would agree to this. Now, there is a talk of a sequel coming up soon and the makers have already made some progress with it. Producer Shabina Khan revealed that the final script of Rowdy Rathore 2 is ready and she is ready to pitch it to Sanjay Leela Bhansali who co-produced the first part with her. She awaits an okay post which they will be ready to move on to the next step.

She said that the writing took a little more time than expected by Vijendra Prasad but now they are totally ready with the project. WOAH! Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor will be dancing to this Sonam Kapoor song in Dance Deewane (watch video)

It is a known fact that Sonam Kapoor was last seen with Salman Khan in the grand Rajshri film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The film not only went on to become a hit at the box office but the title track, picturized on Sonam Kapoor, too became quite popular. Now, it seems that the song captured the fascination of the Race 3 team during Dance Deewane and it was recreated on stage, albeit with Anil Kapoor.

Not too long ago, we had reported that the team of Race 3 will be visiting the sets of the new dance reality show Dance Deewane. The show, which features Madhuri Dixit Nene as one of its judges, will have all the actors putting up short performances for the audience. One amongst them is Anil Kapoor dancing to the title track of his daughter’s chartbuster ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.

It so happened, one of the contestants of Dance Deewane performed a robotic dance on Dance Deewane. During the same, Anil was so impressed by his performance that he decided to join the contestant on stage post his performance, for a small dance act. Whilst he shook a leg with him, he also invited Salman Khan on stage to do the same. The superstar enthusiastically obliged and joined Anil to perform on the song.

Furthermore, another couple of acts included Anil Kapoor’s performance on ‘My Name Is Lakhan’. It seems that one of the contestants of the show was a backup dancer in the same song whilst it was being shot for Ram Lakhan. Interestingly, Anil and Madhuri Dixit Nene, who was his co-star in the film, recognized the dancer and danced with him on the track too.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, who comprise as the rest of the cast of Race 3, too turned guests for this reality show. They too danced to a few of their hits during their stint on Dance Deewane.

This is Reliance Entertainment’s fifth creative partnership with Indian filmmakers to form a production company.

Imtiaz Ali has received wide appreciation and acclaim from audiences and critics alike, in addition to blockbuster success at the box office.
